22 communities, real numbers, honest gaps

These are verified facts, not opinion scores. Prices are CREB district benchmarks (CREB doesn't publish per-community prices), and income is from the 2021 Census.

Information current as of August 20, 2026. These figures reflect the most recent data available to us at the time of writing and can change. Prices, crime, and census data are updated by their sources on different schedules. For the most accurate and current safety and crime information, please check directly with the Calgary Police Service, and confirm any figure that will inform a real decision.

Where these numbers come from

We show only figures we can trace to an official or primary source, each labelled with its date. This tool is a starting point for conversation, not a substitute for your own due diligence on any community.

  • Home prices are CREB district-level benchmarks (May 2026). CREB does not publish an official benchmark for each individual community, so every community shows its district figure, and communities in the same district share it. Source: CREB. Some South East figures are being confirmed and show "data not available" until then.
  • Median household income and population are from the City of Calgary 2021 Census Community Profiles (2020 income year). Eight communities that were newly built or inner-city at census time show "data not available" rather than an estimate. Source: City of Calgary.
  • CTrain access is from Calgary Transit. "None" means no station in the community itself; many still have good bus service. The Green Line is treated as planned, not built. Source: Calgary Transit.
  • Crime is shown only where a reliable per-1,000 rate exists from Calgary Police Service data. It is deliberately omitted where a community's small resident population (e.g. Seton) would distort the rate. Always check the current CPS Community Safety Dashboard yourself.

Safety, school, and suitability decisions are yours to make. We're glad to pull current data for any community you're weighing, just ask.
